Biography

Roots and Origins

Manuela Reyes

Everything that I feel for flamenco dance, I owe to my teachers and colleagues. Throughout the years they have been sharing their vast and wonderful treasures with me. Thanks to them I have been learning to understand myself and create my own style. Many thanks to them and to Flamenco.

I feel pride and a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I have studied with the following four artists, “maestros”, who are, in my opinion, the very best. They have taught me all there is to know to be a flamenco dancer.

Life is short to learn to dance, this is why I believe that I have to learn every day and at every hour of the day. Only in this way I can honor the art of my land and of the people with whom I share this passion we call Flamenco.

Professional Career

I think that it’s important to enjoy each step we take, however small it may be; playing, getting angry, laughing and more than anything else, just living intensely.

Throughout my stage career I have worked with three big dance companies and I have collaborated in a multitude of shows and performances with great artists and colleagues.
